**Description**
**\*\*This is a range posting (Grade 17/18) and level will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on experience. This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.\*\***
As a Director, Data Products with Liberty Mutual Insurance, you will be a key resource responsible for executing elements of our BI and Analytics strategy for USRM. This person will also be responsible for implementing components of our BI and analytics solutions and toolkit used to drive various business lines and needs in USRM. This role will be responsible for delivery of the business value our platforms provide by ensuring our platforms are available, well maintained, and performant from business-as-usual activities through platform upgrades, enhancements, and retirements.
You will work closely with stakeholders (business and technology) with support as needed, from a more senior Product Owner to define and prioritize features and stories, ensure alignment with customer needs and organizational goals, understand customers’ problems in detail, and ensure that the squad/team is working on the most valuable work.
This position will report to the Director of BI & Analytics and can be based in any of our offices in New Hampshire, Boston, Seattle, Plano, Indianapolis, or Remote.
**Responsibilities:**
* Understand business needs and priorities to collaborate with partners and stakeholders throughout the USRM organization and execute prioritized items for business intelligence and analytics solutions
* Improve the delivery and utilization of analytics data products and platform capabilities across the organization (On prem and Cloud)
* Execute strategy imperative items to leverage the right business intelligence solutions for data and technology to enable appropriate personas and business needs
* Product planning, defining detailed requirements, coordinating across teams (front end developers, data engineers, solution engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and leaders), mitigating risks and balancing delivery timelines with technical constraints to support business objectives
* Determine business requirements and produce supporting process design documentation that clearly articulates the requirements to the Data Engineering team and others
* Collaborate with user base and technology partners to develop, implement, monitor, and report on best practices, standards, governance measures and associated metrics
* Leverage agile project management disciplines for planning and execution of data and analytics projects, including design, development, testing and deployment
* Gather feedback and measure the performance of delivered products
**Qualifications*** Strong written and oral communication skills required
* Experience in communicating recommendations to senior business leaders preferred
* BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred
* MBA or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred
* 7-10 years of experience working in coding and data solutions design principles, particularly in open source tools and technology
