Senior Systems Administrator
**Location**: Austin, Texas
**Reports to**: IT Support Manager
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
FTC Solar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft Intune to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our enterprise mobility and device management solutions, ensuring seamless integration and operation within our IT infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Intune and related technologies, as well as a proactive approach to system administration and problem-solving. You will work closely with other team members to help resolve complex end-user issues. This position will require someone that keeps up with the latest technologies and that has a “work smarter, not harder” mentality.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Microsoft Intune Management:**
* Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Intune to support the company’s device management strategy.
* Develop and implement Intune policies and profiles for device compliance, security, and configuration.
* Monitor and maintain Intune environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune deployments and device configurations.
* Provide expertise and guidance on Intune best practices and emerging trends.
**Security and Compliance:**
* Implement, manage, and monitor device security and compliance using conditional access policies and Microsoft Entra Identity Services such as PIM.
* Ensure the security of endpoints through Microsoft Defender, including threat detection and response.
**Mobile Device Management:**
* Oversee the packaging and deployment of apps, patches, and updates of all systems through Intune.
* Evaluate and keep up to date all current device configuration and group policies to ensure a secure environment.
**Ticket Management, Process Documentation, Knowledgebase Contributions:**
* Maintain comprehensive records of helpdesk tickets, detailing troubleshooting steps and solutions provided.
* Ensure accurate and timely updates to ticket statuses and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
* Develop and update documentation for internal IT processes and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
* Standardize documentation practices to maintain consistency across all IT-related documents.
* Create and contribute to end-user knowledgebase articles, addressing common issues and providing step-by-step solutions.
* Collaborate with IT team members to identify and document frequently encountered problems and their resolutions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
* Expert-level Microsoft 365 Administration knowledge and experience is **required** to be considered for this position. While we prefer a minimum 5 years of system administration experience with a focus on Microsoft 365/Entra ID (Azure AD) environments, if you can prove you know M365 administration, we are interested in hearing from you.
* Proven ability in the architecture and administration of Microsoft Intune, including management of Android, iOS, MAC OS, and Windows devices.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for M365, Exchange Online, Endpoint and Cloud App Protection services.
* Strong understanding of enterprise security policies and identity government such as conditional access policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), SSPR, and Privileged Identity Management. SSO and SCIM provisioning knowledge is necessary.
* Understanding of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
* Excellent project management, problem-solving and communication skills are a must. Flexibility in working hours may be needed occasionally.
* Experience with helpdesk ticketing platforms, specifically Freshservice.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,411.00 - $90,852.00 per year
