About Us:

The Department of State, Office of the Inspector General (OIG), has statutory oversight responsibility covering the Department, the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), and the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC).
Mission:

The Office of Information Technology (IT) Operations Office employs a mission-centric approach to IT operations focused on customer service, collaboration, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
• Planning, testing, coordinating, installing, configuring, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems in support of the organization's IT architecture and business needs.
• Analyzing systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, and costs.
• Evaluating, selecting, verifying, and validating the systems software environment.
• Integrating hardware and software components within the systems environment.
• Monitoring and fine-tuning performance of the systems environment.
• Planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software.
• Developing and documenting systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
• Maintaining systems configuration.
• Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services.
• Performing the full range of supervisory duties and responsibilities with technical oversight of contracted staff.
Requirements:
• Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies AND specialized experience listed below.
• Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations.
• Oral Communication - Expresses information effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.
• Experience in managing on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure and application deployments and solutions in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environment.
• Experience in lifecycle management for IT infrastructure- inventory tracking and equipment refresh.
• Lead audit support and continuous monitoring efforts on multiple networks.
• FAC-COR level 2 certification is preferred/desired.
