**Role Overview:**

In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring models and underwriting strategies using traditional modeling and machine learning techniques. The models will primarily focus on creditworthiness, fraud detection, and behavioral analysis, while the underwriting strategies will center around loan terms and automated verifications. The individual will need to stay informed about industry standards, resources, and best practices, and will report to the Director of Model Development.

**Responsibilities:**

* Conducts data collection and cleansing.
* Builds predictive models.
* Conducts statistical analyses.
* Conducts data studies.
* Proposes solutions and strategies to business challenges.
* Presents information using data visualization techniques.
* Documents all processes and research.

**Required Skills/Abilities:**

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
* Excellent data collection and cleansing skills.
* Excellent SQL coding skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Traditional modeling experience using Logistic and Linear Regression.
* Ability to discover insights from disparate data sources.
* Undergraduate degree in Applied Statistics, Predictive Analytics, or similar.
* 5+ years of Consumer Finance analytical experience.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

**Preferred Skills/Abilities:**

* Python coding experience.
* Machine learning experience.
* Credit Bureau data experience.
* Decision Engine management experience.
