THE OVERVIEW

The Association & Foundation, in support of the Academy (?Academy?), seeks a part time Programmer/Web Developer. We offer a semi-flexible schedule for this position; work can be performed between the hours of 6am-6pm, in office Monday through Thursday, and Friday remote. This person will report to the Director of IT.

This position writes, documents, and implements custom programs to meet requirements of the Association & Foundation staff in support of database and website requirements. Implements web development solutions associated with Association & Foundation operations under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and coordination with the Senior Web Programmer. These programs directly support the Association & Foundation staff as well as day-to-day information technologies requirements. Responsible for the development and implementation of standard and ad hoc utility programs to meet current, revised, and new Association & Foundation functional area requirements. Accomplishes software troubleshooting and upgrades to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and system security/data integrity. Support website programming needs as new requirements emerge and modify existing programs to adjust to changing requirements. Keep up to date on emerging technologies and be aware of improvements in programming disciplines.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES
• Understand, uphold, and promote the ethical standards and core values of the United States Air Force Academy (?USAFA?) and the Association & Foundation
• Plan, design, develop and implement software programs associated with Association & Foundation operations, under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and coordination with the Senior Web Programmer. These programs directly support the Association & Foundation staff as well as day to day information technologies requirements
• Responsible for the development and implementation of standard and ad hoc utility programs to meet current, revised, and new Association & Foundation functional area requirements using ASP.net, C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and any other language or library that has been reviewed and approved for use
• Accomplish software troubleshooting and upgrades to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and system security/data integrity
• Support website programming needs as new requirements emerge and modify existing programs to adjust to changing requirements
• Keep up to date on emerging technologies and be aware of improvements in programming disciplines
• Generate data reports/products upon request of appropriate staff and external customers
• Create, develop, and execute test plans and scripts
• Perform limited computer ?help desk? tasks and other additional duties as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or two years? experience with computer systems/programming or equivalent education (certificates)
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to clearly explain software/program capabilities to the layperson
• Experience programming in C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps via Git
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Web Services/REST APIs
• Familiarity with general PC/Server functions
• Familiarity with Windows Server systems
• Familiarity with .Net Frameworks
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience in integration, system, and regression testing
• Excellent user/customer service skills and training expertise
• Strong Problem-solving skills
• Flexibility
• Be able to pass a DBIDS Background check, which is required in order to maintain access to the Association and Foundation?s principal offices on the Academy

• Experience with MSSQL
• Experience with Azure AD B2C
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser?s Edge, Financial Edge
• Experience with Orchard Core Framework

COMPENSATION AND PAID TIME OFF

The hourly range for this part time position is $30-$45 (commensurate with experience); estimated 10-20 hours per week. The Association & Foundation offers paid time off (PTO) which is inclusive of CO mandated sick leave.
