**What
we’re
looking for:**
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will
be responsible for
protecting our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity practices, excellent problem\-solving skills, and the ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
We are accepting candidates across our offices of Boston, MA or Lawrence, MA where you will be hybrid. You will report to the IT Security Manager.
**What you’ll do:**
* Continuously monitor alerts for suspicious activity and potential threats.
* Implement and manage security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
* Respond to security breaches and incidents promptly and effectively.
* Conduct thorough investigations to
determine
the cause and extent of breaches.
* Document and report incidents, actions taken, and outcomes.
* Conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
* Identify
security weaknesses and recommend remediation actions.
* Assist with Risk Identification and Remediation
* Work with IT teams to implement security patches and updates.
* Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
* Implement Data Loss Prevention Controls
**What you’ll bring:**
* BS in IT,
Information Security
,
relevant field
,
or equivalent work experience.
* 2
\+
years in comparable
role
(
s
)
,
especially
implementing vulnerability management and security alert monitoring.
* Entry\-level Blue Team Certifications and beginner\-level security certifications
(
e.g.
Security Blue Team Level 1/Level 2, Security\+, CEH,
PenTest
\+, Azure Cloud Security Certifications
)
.
* Specific knowledge of
securing
Microsoft
environments, including both Windows endpoints, M365 resources, and Azure environments a bonus.
* Experience with Microsoft Security Suite (Microsoft Defender suite
, Sentinel)
a bonus

* Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
* Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
* Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
* Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
* Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
