Description:
Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in the search for an Information System Security Engineer resource to join their team in the Boston, MA area. This successful resource will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls for classified information systems.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Assist in configuring and managing secure networks and systems
* Conduct routine security assessments and vulnerability scans for classified systems
* Participate in the implementation of security policies and procedures specific to classified environments
* Monitor and respond to security events and incidents within the classified network
* Support the accreditation and certification processes for classified systems
* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and security controls
* Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve security issues
* Participate in security awareness training for system users
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* 8\+ years of professional experience
* Experience with Promox, Portainer or Docker, Reverse proxies, DNS, Wazuh, and firewalls
* Working knowledge of network security, operating systems, and cybersecurity policies
* Adhere to all security protocols and procedures related to working in a classified environment
* US Citizen, ability to obtain a higher\-level security clearance
**PREFERRED SKILLS:**
* Bachelor’s degree
* Familiarity with NIST SP 800\-53 and other relevant security standards for classified systems
* Basic knowledge of security tools and technologies in classified environments
* CompTIA Security\+ certification
* Understanding of risk management frameworks
**TERMS:**
This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary up to $165K based on experience. They offer benefits including medical, dental, and vision along with generous PTO, 401K, and other benefits.
